I’d like to say I enjoyed the place, I’d like to say it was great staying at this reasonably priced and friendly place but, the fact is, when I was there I kept thinking I regretted my choice... The resort itself is fine, clean, peaceful and well maintained. People will try to accommodate your stay and arrange things for you. But... nothing is perfect... Although the manager may want to say there is a “short” way to the beach, you still have to walk a “long” way to reach the center point of the beach. It’s not that long (10 to 15 mins), but it feels like there are many other accommodation options along the way... And there is no breakfast, and limited choice of restaurants nearby. Also, keep in mind that some rooms do not have WiFi (signal too weak)... We had to complain several times before being relocated to a room with WiFi (which is what we paid for!)... The basic rooms are okay, but we’ve been quite annoyed by the noisy fridge, and the abundant light flooding the room all night long through nearly transparent curtains. Not easy to fall asleep in such conditions...
Marietone A. زوجين Philippines, 05 مايو, 2013	quiet place to relax location, cleanliness 8 the hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the beach. the hotel isn't near the main road so you need to walk through a pathway about 200 meters from the main road. the room is ok although we did not understand why the ref was placed outside of the room.anybody can get the contents of it and it gets charged to the room.luckily, all contents were intact until we checked out. other than this, our stay was great and we had fun.

Location, fast Internet, large rooms 6.7 A nice simple resort to stay in, the rooms are large and even come with a small cooking area outside. It's a 10 or so minute walk to the main Alona beach area which means that it's a bit quieter which is nice, especially on weekends. I would recommend it for families. I didn't see much in the way of dining, and the staff were friendly, but wasn't really given any information upon arrival. I had to go back to the front desk many times to ask basic questions which was a bit annoying. But all in all, I would stay here again.

Perf. location, cleaniness, pool/garden surroundings 8.7 Alona Swiss is without a doubt one of the best hotels we experienced in the Philippines. It's budget friendly, but you get great value for money. There's no restaurant at the hotel, but the hotel is only a 2 minute walk to the main street going to Alona Beach, where you'll find plenty of good restaurants. (Hidden Dream's evening BBQ being yummi, the fruit stand's mango's are ridiculous - mango back home will never taste the same, the baguettes in the restaurant just across the fruit shop are perfect for lunch (and dead cheap) and finally The Art Cafe is amazing! And only about 50-100 meters from Swiss. Everything is homemade, they have whole wheat bread and the best ingredients.) Swiss furthermore provides a mini fridge in every room, so it's possible to keep your own fruit or cheap rum cold (a litre is like 80-120 pesos) and enjoy a glass in the evening outside your room. The hotel is situated perfect - it's quiet and private (though a few kids may be playing in the pool) because it's in the back of the main street, however it only takes you about 5 minutes to walk to the beach. People there were a mix between young and old, a few families with children but mostly friends and couples and smaller groups it seemed, and the staff was very nice and smiling. We had originally booked two nights but ended up staying one more. All the rooms were booked, but a family bungalow was available, which we were offered for the same price as a room - if not cheaper actually. Air con, water pressure etc. was all working fine, the only hiccup was the gekko on the roof of the bungalow which woke us up with it's noisy calls several times. Also, it's worth mentioning the many roosters in the neighbourhood. However, due to cock fights probably these are everywhere in the Phils. In short, we had a great stay.

The hotel has a very beautiful landscaping with many plants and flowers well maintained by the owners and staff everyday. The pool and jacuzzi is clean and nice. The whole place is peaceful, lovely, and tranquil. The room is big, clean, and tastefully furnished. The outside area of our room is big enough to dry our clothes under the sun after washing. Good for those who are staying for more than 3 nights and doing their own laundry. The room has a safe box and the free wifi connection in the room is good. The hotel doesn't has a restaurant so could not comment on the food standard. However, there are many eateries along the way to the Alona beach which is about 10 minutes walked. Restaurant Tip: I highly recommend the Alona Hidden Dreams restaurant which is about 7 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff are polite, the food is good, and the prices are very affordable compared to most eateries in the Alona area.
